The 钉枪 is a 困难模式, post-世纪之花 远程武器 which has a 4% / 6% (1/25 / 3/50) chance to drop from 钉头 during 日食s. It uses 钉子s as 弹药, which are sold by both the 商人 and the 军火商 when you have the Nail Gun in your inventory for 1 each.
When a nail hits an 敌怪, it sticks to it. It deals low damage on impact, but explodes after roughly 2 seconds, dealing massive damage. The nails also stick to surfaces and explode in the same manner. The explosion does not damage the shooter. Nails are unaffected by gravity until they have flown roughly 30 blocks, at which point they fly with an arc similar to that of an arrow. If used in PvP, the nails will not stick to players and will instead deal damage somewhere in between the initial damage and the explosion's damage. Its best 修饰语 is 恶魔 or 致命, with the latter granting slightly higher DPS at a cost of 弹药 consumption.
- If an enemy dies while nails are still stuck into it, these nails will pop out, sticking to other surfaces or enemies and exploding like usual.
- It is considered a launcher for the purposes of 蘑菇矿盔甲.
- The Nail Gun deals no 击退.
- The Nail Gun behaves similarly but not identically to the Needler from the Halo series. The main mechanical difference is that the Needler, unlike the nailgun, fires projectiles with both limited tracking(similar to Chlorophyte Bullets) and the ability to create a high-damage "supercombine explosion" if a large number of shots land before they explode. This resemblance is greatest in the iterations of the Needler seen in Halo: Combat Evolved and out-of-game lore, in which a single needle's explosion is portrayed as much more powerful than it is in later games and the "supercombine explosion" is less necessary for dealing effective damage.
