吮腦怪是困難模式中，拜月教邪教徒後的飛行敵怪。它在月亮事件中由星雲柱生成。它會嘗試抱住玩家的頭部，持續造成大量傷害並在此期間一直給玩家造成遮蔽減益。

備註

如果在吮腦怪抱住玩家的時候使用魔鏡、冰雪鏡、或手機，吮腦怪就會隨着玩家傳送到目標地點。
不同於黑視和黑暗減益, 遮蔽會使屏幕均勻地變暗, 而不會考慮光亮等級。
除非玩家傳送回家，不然無論移動得有多快，吮腦怪仍然會追上玩家。

花絮

吮腦怪致敬了遊戲《半條命》系列（又譯《半衰期》）中的獵頭蟹（Headcrab）。獵頭蟹會抱住玩家的頭並干擾他們的大腦。吮腦怪在代碼中偶爾會用Nebula Headcrab（星雲獵頭蟹）來表示，且在早期的對它的敵怪旗的補丁中可以看出它們的名字在開發中被更改過。
