木梁s are background 家具 items that provide support for 火把es, and can be used as decoration. They form continuous vertical pillars when stacked. Wooden Beams are found naturally in 地下小屋s, and can be crafted.
Wooden Beams can be stacked from the ground, and exist in the background, providing support for suspended Torches that will not inhibit character movement. In this way, Wooden Beams provide a function similar to 树 (which also exist in the background and allow the player to suspend high Torches), but which the player can construct where they like. Where background 墙s exist, Wooden Beams can also be placed in "midair", without support from below.
Despite their appearance as background 墙s, Wooden Beams instead share a layer with other furniture items (like Tables, Torches, 雕像, 开关es, 计时器s, etc.), thus the two cannot share the same tile space. They can also prevent a 门 from opening.
备注
- Prior to 1.2, Wooden Beams presented the only method of placing suspended Torches without foreground 物块s for them to attach to. As Torches can now be placed directly on background 墙, Wooden Beams are far less functional within 房屋s. They can still be helpful in other places where background Walls are not present.
